• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle requests promptly.
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
• Support food safety standards by adhering to cleanliness and hygiene protocols in guest areas.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest experiences and smooth table management.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear phone communication and active listening.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and guest billing when necessary.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being.
• Ability to demonstrate hospitality excellence through guest relations and positive attitude in all interactions.
