Catalent’s Malvern, Pennsylvania site—known as Catalent Micron Technologies—specializes in particle size reduction and advanced materials science services that support drug development from early stages through commercialization. The site is a recognized center of excellence for API micronization, cryogenic and mechanical milling, and particle size engineering, offering integrated analytical services to characterize and optimize complex drug substances. With extensive capabilities for handling highly potent and cytotoxic compounds, the Malvern operation supports enhanced bioavailability and performance of oral and inhaled therapies under strict GMP and safety standards.

Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Process Operator I to join our team. In this role, you will micronize and mill client-provided materials, including active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients, following Catalent Malvern procedures, client instructions, and cGMP guidelines. You will play a key part in ensuring quality and compliance while modeling Catalent values in all interactions. This position offers the chance to work in a highly specialized and regulated environment.

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 1:00pm - 11:30pm
Location: Malvern, PA
100% Onsite

The Role

• Perform entry-level micronization and milling of hazardous and non-hazardous pharmaceutical actives and excipients
• Set up, operate equipment, and monitor production processes
• Report production on batch records following good documentation procedures
• Work in a regulated environment with adherence to standard operating procedures and policies
• Follow current Good Manufacturing Practice standards
• Identify and communicate non-routine events, deviations, and GMP deficiencies to supervisor promptly
• Perform all other duties as assigned

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required
• Previous experience is not required
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends is required
• Employees must be able to lift or move items up to 44 lbs. (20 kg) individually, or with a two-person lift between 45 lbs. and 76 lbs. (35 kg). Items 77 lbs. and over require a lift assistance device
• Potential limited exposure to health and physically hazardous chemicals; personal protective equipment, including gloves, a respirator hood, safety glasses, safety shoes, and other protective gear, is provided and required in designated areas

Preferred Skills & Background

• Prior manufacturing experience and work in a regulated environment is preferred
