Accountable for performing and coordinating and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. Essential Functions
Perform overnight Polysomnographic studies, using various modes of Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy interventions.
Perform Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT).
Monitors and documents on patients undergoing physiologic studies.
Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies.
Completes record keeping and charting.
Ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems.
Demonstrated communication skills.
Ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
Ability to Score Studies according to AASM guidelines.
Obtain 10 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) related to sleep medicine annually.
This position provides supervision, mentorship, and orientation/ongoing education of the PSG Tech and PST CPSGT.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Degree or GED
BLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare Providers
Current RPSGT/RST or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) licensed in the state of practice, if required
Available to work varying shifts, including night shift.
Specific certifications or skills as required by facility or patient population (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP).
Preferred Qualifications
Anatomy courses
If working in Idaho, PSGT Permit issued by the Idaho State Board of Medicine.
Clinical or patient care experience
Proven ability to supervise others
Available to work the night shift with demonstrated ability to do so
Demonstrated ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems
Demonstrated communication skills
Demonstrated ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
- May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
