Job Title: LATAM Technical Delivery & Operations Leader

Location: Medellín, Colombia (Onsite)
Type of Contract: Full-Time (EOR)
Salary Range: Market Rates
Language Requirements: English and Spanish (Full Professional Fluency)

Our client is seeking a strong LATAM Technical Delivery & Operations Leader to take ownership of their technical delivery organization and help establish a high-performing team in Colombia. This role combines strategic leadership, client engagement, technical project oversight, and operational management, making it ideal for a leader who can translate business objectives into effective execution. Your leadership will play a critical role in strengthening delivery capabilities, developing talent, and supporting the continued growth of their LATAM operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership across the LATAM delivery function, setting priorities, establishing expectations, and ensuring teams remain aligned with broader business and client objectives.
  • Guide complex technical initiatives from planning to completion, balancing business requirements, technical considerations, resources, timelines, and delivery risks.
  • Build and develop the Colombia-based team, taking ownership of recruiting, onboarding, coaching, performance development, and long-term talent growth.
  • Establish a strong operating rhythm for distributed teams, using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to maintain visibility and accountability.
  • Build trusted relationships with US-based clients and stakeholders, acting as a senior representative for project health, delivery priorities, escalations, and strategic conversations.
  • Partner closely with US leadership to translate organizational goals into effective LATAM execution, including workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational priorities.
  • Shape the Medellín operation as it grows, introducing practical processes, communication standards, performance metrics, and team practices that support scalability.
  • Identify and resolve organizational and delivery challenges, proactively improving workflows, team effectiveness, client experience, and overall operational performance.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in technical project management, delivery management, technical operations, or a comparable role within SaaS, software development, MSP, or IT services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical professionals and influence cross-functional teams, with previous responsibility for people management and team development.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience applying them within software or engineering environments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex client relationships, particularly with US-based customers or business stakeholders.
  • Previous experience hiring and leading teams in LATAM, ideally with direct experience in the Colombian market.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or comparable delivery/project management platforms.
  • Fluent English and Spanish, with the communication skills required to work confidently across US and LATAM teams.
  • Strong business judgment, ownership, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating within a US-headquartered organization or a business serving North American customers.
  • Background supporting cloud-based products, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or SaaS environments.
  • Experience helping establish or expand a LATAM delivery center, office, or regional team.
  • Familiarity with organizational KPIs, resource planning, capacity management, and operational reporting.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or similar.
  • Experience within technology consulting, retail, consumer products, or professional services.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in critical projects and business priorities.
Why This Role Matters

This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to have a direct role in building a regional organization rather than simply managing individual projects. The successful candidate will help define how their LATAM team operates, develop the next generation of talent, strengthen relationships with US stakeholders, and create the structure needed to support sustainable growth from Colombia.
