Our client, a luxury resort in Jamaica, is seeking an experienced Associate Food & Beverage Manager to support the F&B Manager in leading, planning, and coordinating all food and beverage operations. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional guest experiences, upholding the resort’s service philosophy, and ensuring that departmental objectives are consistently achieved.
The ideal candidate is organised, guest‑focused, and committed to excellence, with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences that reflect the resort’s mission and values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for reviewing the schedules of the staff and keeping track of the staffing table
- Prepare the annual budget with the F&B Manager.
- Manage food and beverage operations by adhering to budget and service standards.
- Supervise the opening and closing of consumption centers.
- Supervise and have a constant presence in the F&B areas at critical moments of the service.
- Keep track of the inventories and physical condition of the furniture in the F&B areas.
- Ensure compliance with the standards established in the operation and administration of consumption centers.
- Schedule, together with the F&B Manager, the training of food and beverage personnel, through the training department.
- Motivate the staff in charge with development programs to achieve the best results and efficiency of the group.
- Supervise the work of the personnel in charge, ensuring compliance with safety standards and health standards.
- Monitor the correct handling of food in the different service areas, maintaining safety and hygiene procedures for internal and external customers.
- Design sales strategies to optimize the upselling of food and beverage departments.
- Make reports to management in relation to the sales and productivity results of the different points of sale of food and beverages.
- Guarantee the availability of resources in your area and ensure that employees have the necessary work tools for the optimal performance of their functions, so that high-quality services can be offered in a timely and effective manner.
- Control the budget and stock management
- Evaluate the staff who report directly to you.
- Interact with guests, being decisive and diligent to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Analyze the market to be at the forefront of new gastronomic trends and customer service.
- Maintain close and permanent communication with the different departments that make up the hotel so that the operation is facilitated and flows.
- Ensure compliance with KPIs.
- Periodically establish preventive maintenance programs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Gastronomy.
- Strong knowledge of costs, planning, food and beverage service, food safety and hygiene.
- 1 year in a similar position.
- Spanish and English: Advanced
- Extensive food and beverage product knowledge & working knowledge of general restaurant operations.
- Good administrative and organisational skills
