As Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of the organization. Key Responsibilities
As the Operations Manager, you will provide leadership across the brokerage's day-to-day operations while partnering with senior leadership on strategic priorities and long-term growth. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operational Leadership:
- Provide oversight and leadership of daily brokerage operations across multiple locations, ensuring teams have the support and resources needed to perform effectively.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and organizational effectiveness while maintaining a strong focus on client service.
- People Leadership & Development:
- Support employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management.
- Build a positive, collaborative culture by providing coaching, guidance, and leadership to employees at various levels of the organization.
- Strategic Partnership:
- Work closely with senior leadership to support business decisions, organizational priorities, and strategic initiatives.
- Bring sound judgement and practical insight to discussions surrounding the continued growth and direction of the brokerage.
- Business Development & Growth:
- Contribute to business development initiatives, relationship management, and opportunities to expand the brokerage's presence in the market.
- Support initiatives designed to strengthen client relationships and position the organization for continued growth.
- Technology & Process Improvement:
- Support the adoption of new technology and identify opportunities to leverage systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Help lead organizational change initiatives and ensure teams are supported throughout periods of growth and transition.
- Organizational Collaboration:
- Foster strong communication and collaboration across offices, departments, and leadership.
- Balance strategic priorities with hands-on involvement in the day-to-day needs of the business.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Education & Experience:
- Proven leadership or management experience within insurance, financial services, professional services, or a comparable environment.
- A strong understanding of insurance brokerage operations and the ability to effectively lead teams and competing priorities.
- New Brunswick Broker License with CAIB designation.
- Technical Skills:
- Comfortable working with insurance brokerage technology, systems, and evolving digital tools.
- Strong understanding of operational processes and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency.
- Key Competencies:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop people.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and sound judgement.
