Operations Business Unit Manager (Healthcare Supply Chain)

Air Liquide Healthcare Ireland has over 30 years experience and specialises in treating and monitoring respiratory diseases in the patient's home supporting multiple therapies:

• Home Oxygen

• Nebulisers

• Ventilations

• Sleep

We currently provide such therapies to over 10,000 patients across Ireland (combined private and public healthcare). Our field based operations team consist of Healthcare Technicians and Patient Care & Sales Specialists, who ensure that our patients receive the support that they need whilst using our equipment. From installation, training on how to use equipment, servicing and removal.

 

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

 

This is a leadership position responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain operations in Dublin, including field technicians, customer service, and warehousing teams. The core mission of this role is to balance commercial performance with clinical safety, requiring an experienced healthcare professional who can deliver world-class service through an efficient, KPI-driven infrastructure.

 

1. Strategic Leadership & Team Management

• Provide visionary leadership to a multidisciplinary team (Field Technicians, Customer Service, and Warehousing).
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and "patient-first" service delivery.
• Manage resource planning and headcount to ensure the business can scale alongside market demand.

2. End-to-End Supply Chain Oversight

• Field Operations: Oversee the Field Technician team to ensure timely equipment installation, maintenance, and compliance with healthcare safety standards.
• Customer Excellence: Lead the Customer Service department to optimize the "order-to-delivery" journey and resolve complex escalations.
• Logistics & Warehousing: Manage inventory integrity, procurement cycles, and warehouse throughput to minimize waste and maximize stock availability.

3. Performance & Efficiency (The "Priorities")

• KPI Excellence: Drive business performance through a suite of KPIs focused on labour productivity, stock accuracy, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Efficiency Identification: Identify "bottlenecks" in the supply chain and implement measurable efficiencies through process optimisation to reduce operational costs without compromising care.deliver 
• Business Efficiencies: Service Quality: Ensure all operations meet private healthcare regulatory standards and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS).

4. Team Leadership & Engagement

• Lead a diverse workforce across multiple functions, ensuring a unified culture of excellence.
• Bridge the gap between "back-office" and "front-line" to ensure seamless communication.
• Implement engagement strategies to retain top talent in a competitive healthcare market, balancing high performance expectations with professional development.

 

Are you a MATCH?

 

• Minimum of 10 years of management experience specifically within the Private Healthcare sector.
• Proven history of managing diverse teams, including remote field-based staff and office-based customer support. Deep understanding of ERP systems, CRM software, and supply chain logistics platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
