Description
Position Summary...
This role sets strategic direction and optimizes performance for Walmart Canada’s Catalogue products and capabilities, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of product and item data across our omni-channel business. The role bridges business and technology, sets priorities, directs execution, and leads cross-technology projects while balancing customer, merchant, supplier, and operational needs with pragmatic decision-making.
What you'll do...
This role develops and maintains product roadmaps and backlogs, working collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritize new capabilities based on clear business cases. Within Catalogue, this includes capabilities supporting item setup and maintenance, product attributes and content, taxonomy, data quality, and the systems and integrations that enable accurate product information across Walmart’s channels.
The role drafts epics and stories, prioritizes the backlog, and participates in the agile development process to ensure successful delivery of product outcomes. Additionally, this role supports systems and capabilities by promoting defect fixes, addressing frequently occurring support problems, and optimizing efficiency drains.
Communication with diverse groups of stakeholders is essential, involving information sharing, listening sessions, training programs, clear documentation, and strategic vision presentations. The role will work closely with Merchandising, eCommerce, Operations, Engineering, Data, and global Product teams to understand catalogue needs and translate them into scalable product solutions.
Collaboration with partners is critical, requiring navigation of complex decision-making processes and influencing product strategy. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and products in the omni-channel landscape is necessary to provide actionable recommendations that accomplish business objectives.
This role acts as a system subject matter expert, understanding how stakeholders use these systems and providing vision and assistance to teams for optimal utilization of capabilities. The successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of how catalogue data moves across the Walmart ecosystem and how the quality, completeness, and availability of that data impact customers and the broader business.
