About Synechron

Synechron is a global digital transformation consulting firm partnering with leading financial institutions to accelerate their business and technology transformation.

We combine deep Financial Services expertise with capabilities across technology, digital, data and AI to help our clients design, build and deliver complex transformation programmes.

Our teams operate internationally, bringing together business consulting, technology expertise and global delivery capabilities to support some of the world's leading banks and financial institutions.

In France, our Paris Business Unit is continuing to grow, with a strong focus on developing strategic relationships with major banking clients and expanding our consulting capabilities.

We are now looking for an experienced Account Manager – Financial Services & Technology Consulting to play a key role in that growth.

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Paris business and contribute directly to the continued growth of Synechron within the Financial Services industry.

This is a client-facing and growth-oriented role with a primary focus on developing a strategic relationship with a Tier-1 French bank, while progressively contributing to the development of additional accounts.

You will operate at the intersection of client relationships, technology consulting, business development and delivery, working closely with senior client stakeholders as well as our Sales, Practice, Delivery, Talent Acquisition and international teams.

We are looking for someone who understands how major financial institutions buy and deliver technology consulting services and who can turn strong client relationships into sustainable business growth.

What you’ll be doing

Strategic Account Management

  • Own and develop the relationship with a strategic Tier-1 French banking client.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Technology, Business and senior management.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client's organisation, priorities, transformation roadmap and technology challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to expand our footprint within the account.
  • Contribute to the development of additional Financial Services clients.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and develop sustainable, long-term partnerships.

Business Development & Sales

You will take ownership of the full consulting sales cycle, from identifying an opportunity through to commercial closure.

This will include:

  • Originate, qualify, structure and close new consulting opportunities.
  • Sell Time & Material (T&M), fixed-price and hybrid engagements.
  • Position appropriate onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery models.
  • Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
  • Lead and contribute to proposals, RFPs and client presentations.
  • Manage commercial discussions and negotiations.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling across Synechron's capabilities.
  • Contribute to account planning and go-to-market initiatives.

AI & Technology Transformation

AI is increasingly reshaping the Financial Services industry and our clients' transformation agendas.

You will be expected to:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of current AI and technology trends.
  • Identify relevant AI-driven use cases and transformation opportunities within your accounts.
  • Work with our Practices and technology specialists to translate client challenges into relevant solutions.
  • Position Synechron's capabilities in a way that creates measurable value for our clients.

You do not need to be an AI engineer, but you should be comfortable discussing how AI and emerging technologies are changing banking and technology transformation.

Delivery & Commercial Performance

Winning the engagement is only part of the role.

You will remain closely connected to delivery to ensure that what we sell translates into successful client outcomes.

You will:

  • Work closely with Practice and Delivery teams throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Monitor revenue, margin, utilisation and overall account performance.
  • Contribute to forecasting and pipeline reporting.
  • Anticipate future client requirements and resource needs.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure that recruitment activity is aligned with upcoming business opportunities.
  • Identify delivery risks and support their resolution before they impact the client relationship.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced consulting sales professional with approximately 10 years of experience in technology consulting / ESN environments.

You should bring:

  • Proven experience managing and growing strategic accounts within Financial Services.
  • Experience working with a Tier-1 French bank or comparable major financial institution.
  • Existing relationships with relevant client stakeholders within the French banking ecosystem.
  • A strong understanding of technology consulting sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience selling both T&M and fixed-price engagements.
  • Experience positioning onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery models.
  • Exposure to AI, digital or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pipeline, revenue and margin management.
  • The ability to engage credibly with mid-to-senior client stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to create opportunities rather than simply manage an existing portfolio.

Experience within a leading consulting or technology services organisation would be highly valued.

Fluent French and English are mandatory.

What will make you successful

This role will suit someone who combines a commercial mindset with genuine client intimacy.

You know how to navigate a large banking organisation, identify the real decision-makers and understand what matters to them.

You are comfortable moving from a strategic discussion with a senior stakeholder to an RFP, a commercial negotiation or a discussion with Delivery and Talent Acquisition about the capabilities required to execute.

Most importantly, you are proactive: you do not wait for opportunities to arrive — you create them.

Our recruitment process

We want our recruitment process to give you a clear understanding of the role, our Paris business and the people you will work with.

1. Talent Acquisition interview
An initial conversation with our Head of Talent Acquisition – France, Luxembourg & Switzerland to discuss your experience, track record, motivations and expectations.

2. Managing Director interview
An exchange with our Managing Director – Head of Paris BU, focused on our Paris strategy, business development ambitions, client portfolio and your potential contribution to our growth.

3. Practice Leadership interviews
You will then meet two of our Heads of Practice to discuss our capabilities, client challenges, delivery model and how Sales and Practices work together to develop and deliver consulting engagements.

The process is also designed to give you the opportunity to challenge us, understand our business and determine whether Synechron is the right environment for your next step.

Why Synechron?

At Synechron, you will have the opportunity to combine strategic account management, business development and technology consulting within one of the world's most sophisticated Financial Services markets.

You will work directly with senior business and Practice leaders, have access to international delivery capabilities and contribute to the continued expansion of our Paris business.
