Why this is an exciting opportunity
We're hiring a Claims Consultant for a fixed-term contract opportunity until December 2027. Play a pivotal role in supporting members, beneficiaries and advisers through some of life's most important moments. Managing a broad range of superannuation and investment-related claims, you'll deliver professional, empathetic and end-to-end case management while ensuring accurate, compliant and timely outcomes.
Working closely with trustees, advisers, legal representatives and internal stakeholders, you'll combine strong technical knowledge with exceptional customer service to guide complex claims through to resolution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with claims, superannuation or financial services experience who enjoys making a genuine difference while building deep expertise in a specialist area.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage end-to-end claims and member events across superannuation and investment products.
- Assess and administer death, permanent incapacity, terminal illness, financial hardship, compassionate release and family law claims.
- Review legal, medical and supporting documentation to determine claim eligibility and outcomes.
- Coordinate trustee determinations, benefit payments, account restrictions and account closure activities.
- Build trusted relationships with members, beneficiaries, advisers, trustees and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with legislative, regulatory and trustee requirements.
- Investigate complex cases, manage escalations and support audit and reporting activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance across the broader operations team.
What you bring

Experience & Skills
- Experience in claims, case management, superannuation administration or financial services operations.
- Strong understanding of superannuation products, claims processes and regulatory obligations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability and sound judgement.
- Proven ability to manage a complex caseload and competing priorities.
- Confidence building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- RG146, ASFA Certificate IV or related qualifications are advantageous.
