Job Purpose

This role will be part of a team of information technology professionals responsible for designing and managing the system used to manage hardware and software assets, overseeing asset quality control, and developing process and architectural improvements. This position requires technical proficiency, the ability to translate technical and business needs into action, an eager attitude, professionalism, and solid communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the cmdb work queue (tickets and/or emails), providing timely responses and resolutions
- Maintain and support operations designed to keep an accurate and healthy cmdb
- Develop a progressive understanding and knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and functionality as it relates to the IT Asset Management, CMDB and ServiceNow management tools
- Create reports for used and needed by CMDB stakeholders
- Develop and maintain documentation related to IT Asset Management policies, standards and practices for effective asset life-cycle management
- Produce reports and artifacts as needed to support internal/external audits
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of IT Asset Management policies, best practices and procedures
Knowledge and Experience
- 2+ years of CMDB experience working in ServiceNow
- Strongs understanding of IT Asset Management, CMDB and asset/CI life-cycle practices
- As needed, develop solutions independently or collaboratively
- Data analysis and reporting skills to support investigations and remediations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects with and ability to perform well under pressure
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with servers, network gear, AWS, Kubernetes as it relates to cmdb management
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced excel data analysis, scripting and/or programming experience
