Your role and responsibilities

ABB is looking for an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer for its Global Operation Center in Bangalore, India. This role involves providing technical application support and expertise in cybersecurity, with a primary focus on control systems.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries based in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develop and implement ongoing DCS system security strategies and engineering application standards.
• Apply knowledge of security standards such as IEC 62443/ISA 99, NIST SP 800-82, or NERC CIP and Work with firewalls, networking systems, and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Define, design, and implement enterprise cybersecurity solutions to safeguard against advanced threats in diverse environments.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles such as defense-in-depth, network segmentation, security monitoring, incident response, access management, OT patch management, and secure remote access.
• Think with a security-first mindset and apply expertise in OT environments, corporate application access control, network routing, packet analysis, and cyber threat analysis.

Qualifications for the role:

• Engineering degree with experience in networking or cybersecurity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient documentation skills to create clear and consistent guidelines and customer materials.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Willingness to travel as required.
