Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional preventive dental care, educate patients on oral health practices, and support the overall patient experience. Duties:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and tartar, and applying fluoride treatments to promote oral health.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while maintaining radiation safety standards.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, documenting all treatments, observations, and patient interactions clearly and thoroughly.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills:
- Proficiency in dental software such as Open Dental for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with children in a dental setting.
- Expertise in dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging, and maintaining radiation safety standards.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care and treatment options.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices aligned with HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
- Ability to operate dental equipment efficiently while adhering to infection prevention management protocols.
- laser certified preferred.

Pay: $47.00 - $58.00 per hour with quarterly bonus on production.
