SUMMARY:
The Administrative Coordinator (Temp) position provides administrative and operational support for Residential Living & Learning. Under general supervision, this position assists with daily office operations, customer service, recordkeeping, communications, and departmental projects. The coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for students, families, campus partners, and visitors while supporting the department's operations and special initiatives.
The anticipated employment period is October through December 2026.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting students, parents, campus departments, and visitors in person, by phone, and through email.
- Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the Residential Living & Learning office.
- Assist with maintaining departmental records, reports, and confidential information.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, spreadsheets, presentations, and other administrative documents.
- Assist with student housing processes, including housing communications, occupancy records, and administrative support for the Occupancy Management functional area.
- Monitor departmental email account and route inquiries to appropriate staff.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling student records and sensitive information.
- Collaborate with Residential Living & Learning staff and campus partners to support departmental initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Knowledge / Skills: Two years of related experience. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional. Ability to work well with groups of people.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
Administrative support experience in higher education.
