Job Description:
Wage: $18.348/hour (Base rate $15.348/hour + $3 differential for every hour worked)
Job Duties: Sort laundry, load and unload washing and drying machines; add detergent and/or bleach as required. Finish laundered articles by feeding and folding flatwork or flatwork ironing machines. Sort, fold, count, bundle, weigh and deliver laundry to rooms. Report malfunctions of machines and maintain cleanliness of the area.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age
Successful candidate must have strong organizational skills with the ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of people. Must have knowledge of operation of washers, tumblers, presses and irons; textiles and their reaction to soaps, water temperatures and machine washing; safety precautions; terms pertaining to laundry chemicals. Ability to work while standing for long periods of time and in high temperatures and humidity; lift, bend, stoop and carry laundry.
