Job Description - Senior Civil/ Structural Designer - Onshore
Title: Senior Civil/ Structural Designer

Job Purpose
The Senior Civil/Structural Designer will be responsible for the production of high-quality civil and structural design deliverables for oil & gas projects. The role involves preparing 2D drawings, 3D models, and related design documentation in accordance with project specifications, international codes, and client standards, while coordinating closely with engineers and other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed civil and structural drawings and 3D models for oil & gas facilities, including:
- Steel structures (pipe racks, platforms, shelters, equipment supports, buildings)
- Concrete structures and foundations, (incl RC detailing)
- Underground services, trenches, culverts, roads, paving and drainage
- Develop and maintain 3D models using software such as AVEVA E3D / S3D, PDS, or equivalent.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, reinforcement drawings, fabrication drawings and bar bending schedules as required.
- Ensure all design deliverables comply with project specifications, international codes (AISC, ACI, BS, Eurocodes, etc.) and client standards (ADNOC, ARAMCO or equivalent).
- Coordinate with Civil/Structural Engineers to accurately reflect design calculations and design intent in the drawings and models.
- Interface with Piping, Mechanical, Electrical and other disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure design consistency.
- Perform clash detection and support model reviews.
- Incorporate design changes and respond to technical queries (TQs) and site queries in a timely manner.
- Check drawings and models prepared by junior designers to ensure quality and consistency.
- Support the preparation of material take-offs (MTOs) from drawings and models.
Experience
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Designer in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Proven experience across Concept Select, FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC and brownfield modification phases.
- ADNOC Group, Middle East or comparable major operator.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline..
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in 2D drafting tools (AutoCAD) and proficiency in Civil3D.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software (AVEVA E3D / S3D)
