Job Overview:
Clinical Development Strategy & Business Partner serves as a strategic and operational partner to a Clinical Delivery leader. This role translates business strategy into execution plans, monitors performance metrics, and drives process improvements within the assigned department. This role acts as a liaison between the functional leader and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Clinical Development goals and operational excellence.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Support strategic initiatives ensuring alignment with Clinical Development and functional goals and objectives.
- Translate business strategy into execution plans, helping prioritize initiatives based on ROI, risk, and resource availability.
- Monitor delivery performance, quality, and financial metrics and provide insights on trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive development of Clinical Development Review (CDR) materials and leverage them to manage delivery and operations.
- Streamline internal processes to improve delivery, timelines, resource utilization, and quality metrics.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, process inefficiencies, and quality risks.
- Develop business cases and recommendations to support investment in tools, talent, and process enhancements.
- Assist in budget planning and forecasting for project portfolios.
- Support functional leader on in-depth P&L analysis and trending.
- Track financial performance and support cost optimization efforts.
- Act as a liaison between functional and delivery leaders, senior leadership, and peers.
- Support communication strategies and message development, ensuring consistent messaging and reporting across all levels.
- Foster shared consciousness and dot connecting, helping the functional leadership team stay focused and aligned on priorities.
- Anticipate challenges and remove roadblocks, acting as a sounding board and problem solver for the functional leader.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing candid feedback, strategic counsel, and a safe space for leadership reflection.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, delivery updates, and strategic communications.
- Coordinate executive meetings and strategic planning sessions, including agenda setting, follow-ups, and tracking of action items.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions, quarterly reviews, and leadership offsites.
