Job Purpose
The VP, Sales Operations & Enablement oversees teams within Distribution that are accountable for increasing wholesaler efficiency, efficacy, and support. The VP ensures the development and advancement of strategic initiatives and operational health across Distribution. This individual works with multiple departments to direct wholesaler support and sales territory management efforts. The VP, Sales Operations & Enablement also ensures Sales Assistants are leveraged consistently across wholesaler pods, sets the strategy for the Distribution Command Center, establishes centralized reporting to support Sales Desk leadership, and leads the Distribution Process Engineering function.
Essential Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains executive KPI dashboards to provide leadership with real-time visibility into pipeline health, win/loss rates, and rep performance.
- Acts as a central operational liaison between Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Business Intelligence, and Compliance.
- Analyzes workforce and sales trends to identify market opportunities, pipeline bottlenecks, and underperforming segments.
- Directs the development, implementation, and on-going operation of complex monitoring systems to ensure the health and performance of business processes, workflows, skills, and service level adherence within Distribution.
- Works closely with the external sales team and internal resources to conduct research and analysis to help develop and execute an appropriate business plan to maximize wholesaler interactions.
- Directs the creation and distribution of reporting metrics to members of Senior Management, Sales, and Operations. Leads a centralized reporting function for Sales Desk monitoring.
- Oversees a continuous cycle of updates for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support business processes. Maintains an inventory of all business processes for Distribution.
- Oversees the strategic direction and expansion of the Distribution Command Center. Develops a Sales Desk forecasting model to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Partners with multiple Distribution departments to support and execute sales initiatives.
- Oversees the Sales Assistant deployment model within wholesaling channels. Ensures effectiveness of Sales Assistant teams and activities.
- Oversees the identification of wholesaler best practices and trends and the dissemination of findings to Sales leadership for possible implementation and action.
- Builds effective relationships with sales teams and management to achieve business objectives.
- Keeps abreast of new technology solutions and sales enablement tools. Identifies and implements potential solutions for RPA and automation initiatives.
- Lead the Distribution Process Engineering function and establishes enterprise standards for process improvement.
- Drives business process transformation initiatives utilizing process mapping, workflow design, and automation.
- Identifies opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate sales processes.
- Implements operating models that improve cycle time, quality, cost efficiency, and associate experience.
- Develops and governs process performance metrics and continuous improvement roadmaps.
- Leads cross-functional initiatives to eliminate operational bottlenecks and improve scalability.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years of financial services or insurance industry experience required.
- 5+ years of management experience required.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) preferred.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 24 or 26 preferred.
