POSITION PURPOSE:
To assist sport officials in keeping score and time during youth and/or adult games.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE POSITION:
Exposure to indoor gymnasium conditions including crowd noises and heat or cold. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least a sophomore in high school or have equivalent education or experience.
Reliable transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience playing or scorekeeping of sports
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must attend a Timer/Scorer training school.PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION:
Duties involve remaining seated for the duration of a game with few break opportunities. May involve physical tasks such as walking/running over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items (including people) on a consistent basis. Exposure to moving objects such as sports equipment.

- Keep accurate score at league/tournament games.
- Keep the timing clock in good working order
- Record team and player names onto score sheets prior to game.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn how to maintain and run a timing clock.
- The ability to write legibly.
- Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
- Knowledge of sports games is preferred.
