To shape and direct the Organisation Design strategic plan and function, leading the implementation of the strategic direction of the function through a centre-led approach of effective partnership with business stakeholders across FirstRand to ensure the organisation is enabled to deliver on its strategic objectives by defining, developing and maintaining organisation design policies, procedures, standards and frameworks and driving, promoting and implementing leading practices, thought leadership and expertise for the practice within the context of the FirstRand HC Operating Model (HCOM) and aligned to the Lead, Engage and Transform strategy.- Conduct abstract, conceptual and comparative analysis of high-level reports for strategic decision-making purposes.
- Provide input into, and implement, corporate governance, compliance, integrity and ethics policies in are of accountability to identify and manage risk exposure.
- Stays abreast of relevant industry risk management best practices and legislative amendments and suggests ways to leverage these to ensure continuous improvement.
- Creates risk awareness and manages audit findings Participate in Group risk forums where required and cascades relevant information through team.

- Fulfil all people leadership and management accountabilities, including but not limited to relevant risk management and financial processes.
- Provide key input to the articulation and implementation of the LET strategy.
- Provide input into and initiate policy review of corporate-wide Organisational Design policies and practices that are relevant across geographies.
- Define, develop, and maintain policies, procedures, standards and frameworks to efficiently manage the practice and ensure integration of all relevant touch point across Human Capital (HC), business value chains and FirstRand.
- Be an Organisation Design trusted advisor entrenched in the business to influence and build credibility and maturity of the organisation design capability Utilise in-depth business and professional knowledge to proactively respond to the organisation design needs of the business.
- Partner with Business Human Capital (BHC) and Enterprise Architecting (EA) counterparts in business to gain insights into business context and requirements Consult and contract with business and BHC regarding their unique requirements where these relate to Org Design interventions, processes, systems and/or integrated client solutions.
- Ensure implementation of the organisational design project and change management methodology with strong emphasis on interdependencies with other stakeholders (e.g. process engineering, project management, org development, rem and reward, talent management, etc.)
- Manage end-to-end organisation or franchise-wide design projects from strategy review through to design and implementation.
- Drive collaboration and co-creation principles in delivery of all organisation design initiatives.
- Continue to support the build of Organisation Design HC Capability across the FirstRand group to enable professionalisation of HC and enhance the credibility of the function.
- Develop and articulate design principles for the organisation and drive implementation.
- Responsible to ensure the business does not experience risk related to the specialist function; monitor long term implications for the business of relevant initiatives and programmes.
- Support the design of relevant methodologies, tools, processes, initiatives, and standards for organisation design interventions.
- Drive and monitor quality assurance of organisation design projects/initiatives (strategy reviews, operating models, structures, role profiles and job evaluation) and reports.
- Lead and monitor implementation of organisation design deliverables within the business.
- Improve business decisions by providing insights and guidance from analysis of relevant Organisational Design (OD) business intelligence.
- Solicit feedback from customers on delivery and respond accordingly.
- Monitor proposed structures and role evaluation outcomes in line with Segment, Business Unit (BU) and department structures to ensure integrated design, appropriate span, and layers and to avoid role and level compression.
- Ensure crafting of role profiles through engagement (workshops or meetings) with content experts and sign off by relevant bodies.
- Ensure quality checks on newly created roles or updates requested to existing roles are performed to ensure standards are met.
- Facilitate resolution of disputes regarding role content, grading, etc. through engagement with stakeholders to ensure agreement.
- Record and share delivery of services against agreed service level agreements in terms of value add to business.
- Ensure management of system tables and libraries to comply to standards.
- Monitor implementation of governance rules on roles and positions to ensure the usage of roles are consistently applied as agreed.
- Solve emerging organisation design challenges utilising diagnostics, data and people intelligence.
- Build robust practice data and provide relevant integrative insights to assist business to make proactive decisions.
- Integrate business, organisation and talent information to identify trends, discrepancies and inconsistencies for decision making purposes.
- Ensure data management for quality and integrity is of the highest standard to create value added knowledge and guidance towards decision making.
- Manage vendor relationships where applicable and ensure license and agreement renewal and payment is completed as required.
- Drive integration as a principle through all Human Capital (HC) and management practices in the organisation.
- Stay abreast of worldwide industry trends to provide thought leadership.
- Research and drive progressive and agile approaches to Organisation Design to enable networked teams and new ways of working across the business.
- Create and update training material and methodology to build Organisational Design capability across the group.
- Ensure training sessions are facilitated on different aspects of Organisational Design to members of the Human Resource (HR) community using the training material available.
- Influence the full HC function through driving an Organisational Design focus across the business Have an in-depth knowledge of Organisation Design, together with other HC functions as well as a full understanding of the broader business context.
- Solve for problems in the business relating to functional expertise, making use of critical business understanding beyond HC.
- Required to have a significant influence on leading the organisation on expert recommendations, where the level of influence and impact is compounded by the quality of partnership required.
- Provide specialist advice on the capability to Africa stakeholders in HC topics.
- Contribute to contextually relevant partnerships both within and external to the business.
- Play a proactive role of providing advice and guidance of organisation models for implementation should they influence the business strategy and how business will move forward whilst influencing operating model decisions.
