Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a government service location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government service center.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and maintain awareness of persons entering and leaving the location.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
