Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and team-oriented Back of House / Bar Back to support our bartenders and kitchen staff in delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role is responsible for keeping the bar fully stocked, maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant, assisting with food preparation when needed, and ensuring operations run smoothly during busy shifts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced sports bar environment and is willing to jump in wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Set up and stock workstations before each shift.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Ensure all food is prepared and plated accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with food prep, including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation.
• Keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar supplies throughout each shift.
• Refill ice bins, keg coolers, and beverage stations.
• Change beer kegs and CO₂ tanks safely and efficiently.
• Collect and wash glassware, bar tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar, dining room, kitchen, storage areas, and restrooms.
• Bus tables and assist servers during peak business hours.
• Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, stocking stations, and organizing supplies.
• Receive, organize, and properly store deliveries.
• Remove trash, recycling, and cardboard while maintaining a clean work environment.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work assignments.
• Work closely with bartenders, servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest service.
Qualifications
• Previous restaurant, bar back, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and major sporting events.
