Description
What's the role?
We are looking for a Demand Operations Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our demand management process. In this role, you will contribute to the design, ongoing optimisation, and overall success of the demand framework across TDD. You won’t just manage a process; you will be instrumental in building the operational backbone that helps our delivery teams prioritise effectively and keeps roadblocks visible. Reporting to the Head of Delivery Operations, you will combine technical acumen with strategic thinking to drive operational excellence across News Corp Australia’s digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Manage the end to end process for continuous improvement delivery in TDD - ensuring planning and delivery processes are fit for purpose, understood by relevant stakeholders, and operating as intended.
Implement new ways of working across the demand process, supporting teams for intake and execution phases
Facilitate intake ceremonies - including backlog review & estimation sessions, capacity planning & prioritisation.
Leverage technology solutions (primarily Jira Product Discovery, Jira & Confluence) to support business processes, manage the flow of information, and provide visibility of delivery progress.
Collate data and develop reports on delivery performance across TDD.
Foster strong working relationships with business stakeholders, and liaise with delivery teams to ensure delivery risks, issues, and blockers are visibly tracked and escalated through the correct operational channels.
Manage and prioritise enhancement requests for Atlassian tools, including contributing to the Atlassian Governance Coalition across News Corp - collaborating with Global BUs.
Who are you?
You have experience managing business processes, optimising workflows, and implementing strategies to drive quality and efficiency.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to think on your feet, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving process bottlenecks.
You are deeply familiar with agile delivery practices and software development processes.
You have expert knowledge in best practices and technical configuration across Atlassian tooling (Site or Global Admin level).
You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and you use tools to discover and communicate key insights into meaningful and visual reports.
You build strong and positive relationships across teams and with stakeholders at all levels; and you are a strong influencer who drives process adoption.
You are passionate about transformation and be a driving force in new ways of working
