Job Summary

This position provides education and training to our Holy Cross Medical Group new hires and current colleagues.  Will round in all offices as needed.  A Certified EPIC trainer is highly preferred!

What You Will Do:

Organize and coordinate training and educational programs

  • Demonstrate the ability to obtain information and interpret information.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of growth and development.
  • Identify staff development needs, assist and train colleagues accordingly.
  • Assist employees with additional individual training as identified by management.
  • Maintain competencies in all areas of HCMG Information Technology (IT) at a level appropriate to non-clinical staff.
  • Responsible for IT training to HCMG associates as required, including e-mail, time keeping, appointment scheduling, electronic health record, online education, billing, etc.
  • Responsible for requesting/obtaining IT log-in codes for the entire medical group.

Provide initial orientation to all new colleagues

  • Provide orientation to all new employees as required.  This may include time spent in remote office locations.
  • Monitor completion of orientation process, necessary forms and requirements (i.e., CPR,
  • employee enrichment, etc.).
  • Contact management of new hires periodically to determine whether additional training is required.

Maintain knowledge and communicate learning center tools and resources available to colleagues

  • Coordinate education programs as needed for HCMG colleagues.
  • Evaluate programs routinely and identify areas requiring training adjustments.
  • Attend training seminars.
  • In conjunction with Operations Directors, organizes in-service programs as needed, educating colleagues of TJC guidelines, clinical and non-clinical, etc.

Development, training and assessment of clinical skills or qualifications

  • In conjunction with management and HCH resources, ensures all staff have documented competency level appropriate to their training and position.
  • Periodically assess the training needs of all HCMG non-provider staff.
  • Develop an HCMG annual training plan and present the plan to HCMG leadership.

Interact in a professional manner with all members of the HCMG offices

  • Interact in a constructive manner with physicians, management and hospital colleagues.
  • Attend meetings as requested by management.
  • Stay abreast of changes in policies/procedures and laws and regulations. Update policies as required.

Display knowledge of problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate work area activities 

  • Communicate to Operations Directors and colleagues’ new ideas and recommendations to facilitate smooth operations within the department.

Adhere and conform to all government regulations, legal issues/aspects, OSHA requirements and TJC standards

  • Work with lab supervisor to maintain the Laboratory Policy and Procedure manual.
  • Oversee that the office abides by OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Oversee that all divisions are oriented and trained in TJC standards.

Perform any other job-related duties as assigned and/or requested by management

  • Accepts additional responsibilities or tasks in a positive manner to support the organization.

What You Need:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. 

Certified EPIC Trainer highly preferred.

Minimum of 1 year experience in medical office setting preferred.

Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and health care insurance preferred.

Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, colleagues and visitors.
