About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Mandarin Garden Department in Milan, the Bartender is responsible to delight and satisfy our guests. We are dedicated to making a difference every day and continually improve to ensure we are the best. The Bartender reports to the Bar Manager

As Bartender, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Achieving the service and product delivery standards with a high degree of client care and service at all times.
• Being responsible for the set-up and operation of bar station/section.
• Excellent knowledge of all food and beverage items served in the bars.
• Providing services for guest such as order taking, promoting the outlet’s food and beverages offerings.
• Providing recommendation and preparing wine, cocktail and spirit choice for the guest.

As Bartender, we expect from you: 

• The ideal candidate is a self-motivated person with great communication skills, fluent in Italian and English.
• He or she is a person willing to offer professional and impeccable service, ensuring that the guest's experience at the Mandarin Oriental is exceptional.
• Two years previous bartending experience in a luxury hotel setting required
• Extensive knowledge of beverage/mixology
• You will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable
