Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 | Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: President & CEO
Strategic Leadership:
- Advise the CEO and Board on long-term financial planning, sustainability, and risk management.
- Align financial resources with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Contribute to capital planning, program expansion, and investment strategies.
- Provide information to support management decision-making about policy issues, employee relations, procedures, practices, costs, and recruitment policies.
Financial Oversight:
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure timely, accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and variance reports.
- Present financial reports and analysis to the Board Finance Committee.
- Compiles analysis reports to support management-level decision-making regarding the organization’s fiscal health.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit standards, federal grant requirements, and all local/state regulations.
- Lead the preparation of the annual audit and IRS Form 990 filings.
- Establishes and implements policies and procedures for all financial management functions, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
Grants & Fund Management:
- Track and manage restricted/unrestricted funds across public and private grants.
- Collaborate with Development and Operations on grant budgeting and reporting.
Operational Excellence:
- Supervise or coordinate with accounting, payroll, and HR vendors or internal staff.
- Oversee benefits administration and insurance programs.
- Streamline financial systems and reporting tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred, not required.
- At least 5–7 years of progressive financial leadership experience; nonprofit sector required.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred), Microsoft Excel, and grant platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Must submit to and pass a background check.
- Salary range of $60,000–$70,000, based on qualifications and experience.
