• Reporting to Assistant Quality Manager with responsibility for  promoting food safety & Quality culture in line with company strategy.

• Assist and offer specialist advise to the Site Project engineers on all aspects of food safety.

• Play a key role in complaint and reject reduction for the Herentals site utilising investigative skills, and applying root cause analysis techniques.

• Deputise for the Assistant Quality Manager

• Development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of effectiveness (validation) of all food safety and quality systems in manufacturing and warehousing areas, ensuring the high standards in quality and food safety are achieved in line with Griffith Foods values.

• Development and delivery of training programmes in Food Safety, Quality Systems, HACCP, Allergen control, Hygiene, Product integrity, and Customer specific requirements.

• Development, implementation, and maintenance of GMP, HACCP, Allergen controls, Hygiene systems, Calibration, to ensure compliance and to enable Quality to remain at the highest level.

• Work closely to develop the Supplier Approval Management System, including details on food fraud, threat & vulnerability assessments etc.

• Training, support and development of other members of the Food Safety team to facilitate cross functional capability between the differing Food Safety job roles.

• Conduct supplier / service provider audits.

• Assist/ facilitate customer / 3rd party audits including follow-up with regards to non-conformances & corrective actions.

• Act as a point of contact to all departments (including European counterparts) providing knowledge and support in relation to all aspects of the food safety / quality system.

• Participate in project work as required and provide Food Safety insight / support for a wide range of projects in line with the businesses long term development plan.

• Work with the Food Safety Co-ordinator on the day to day implementation of the food safety programme.

• Conduct induction / introduction to the Food Safety and Quality systems for new employees.

• Become a subject matter expert in the RedZone compliabnce module.

• Work closely with counterparts across Europe.
