Funds Specialist

Job Description

• Manage issue resolution for primary market funds, alternative investments, and hedge funds by liaising with internal stakeholders and external fund counterparties. • Follow up on trade-related enquiries to ensure timely and smooth trade settlement. • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, fund hubs, and fund counterparties. • Coordinate with fund hubs to onboard new funds, including static data setup and ongoing data maintenance. • Support fund static data activities, including updates to fund details, dealing terms, settlement information, fees, and share class data. • Contribute to new fund initiatives, operational projects, system enhancements, and process improvements. • Support UAT, workflow reviews, and implementation activities where required. • Ensure fund-related processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with internal controls. • Collaborate with product experts, business stakeholders, IT teams and the TDM Change & Projects function to define data requirements and governance policies.

Requirements

• Experience in fund operations, fund administration, asset servicing, or a similar financial services operations role
• Good understanding of investment funds, ideally including primary market funds, alternative investments, and hedge funds
• Knowledge of fund static data, share classes, dealing terms, settlement details, fees, and fund onboarding processes
• Experience handling trade-related enquiries and supporting trade settlement processes
• Ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, external fund counterparties, fund hubs, IT teams, and product/business teams
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when maintaining fund data and operational records
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to follow up on issues until resolution
• Understanding of internal controls, operational risk, and data governance principles
• Experience supporting UAT, system enhancements, workflow reviews, or process improvement initiatives would be an advantage
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle daily operational tasks in a timely manner
• Proficiency in relevant banking, fund operations, or data management systems, as well as Microsoft Office tools such as Excel
