Role Purposes:
- Development & implementation of a Procurement strategy for the assigned Material Group providing the best supplier base in terms of costs, quality, flexibility, innovation, speed and services for 3rd party direct raw materials supply as well as all services required.
- Purchase Market Analysis by Material Group.
- Supplier Life Cycle Management (supplier sourcing, -onboarding, -assessment, -development, -phase out)
- Negotiation and Contract Management
- Provide key Stakeholders with timely updates on potential risk including supplier risk evaluations.
- Automation and digitization of procurement processes
Major Accountabilities:
- Material group (MG) management of direct materials that build into P+F product
- Focus on MG strategy mapping, purchasing excellence with E-procurement platform and digitalization
- Target total cost reduction, technical cost optimization, and indirect cost reduction
- Key function: negotiation, supplier management (supplier development, supplier evaluation, qualification, reduction, sourcing, localization)
- Constant review to update Supplier Life Cycle (SLC) align with supplier strategy mapping and share with Stakeholder
- Benchmark and optimize number of suppliers, price, delivery, payment and other commercial terms against market standard
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) in getting the right supplier, at right price to meet require delivery for new R&D part. Manage new part readiness through qualification or process evaluation for mass production
- Interpersonal skill to drive cross–functional collaboration with inter-departments e.g. R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Planning to improve business performance, processes, profit. Address supplier issues with inter-departments for any conflicts to ensure highest level of service
- Evaluating existing Process and Compliance practice with Global alignment
- Participate and contribution in supplier audit assessment activity
- Travelling may be required
- Provide guidance to Procurement Specialist B/A
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business administration, Electronics Engineering preferred;
- Business fluent English language (both written and spoken skills) is a must; German or another Asian language is a benefit;
- Minimum 5 years of experience related to Procurement, Purchasing or Sourcing, in which at least 2 years in Manufacturing or Multi-national company (MNC);
- Ability to manage suppliers with confidence and appropriate assertiveness when require;
- Self-driven with ability to work independently and with cross-functional department; strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships across global boundaries and time zones;
- Strong negotiation and analytical skill.
- Knowhow conditions in Assessing Manufacturer and Distributor
- Good understanding in various freight terms, inventory management program, cost reduction concept & knowhow skill to apply.
- Creating alternative strategies and intuitively adjust to a changing environment
