Description:

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health of New England is looking for a Medical Secretary to join our Radiation Therapy team. 

This person is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and care to all patients and clients in Radiation Therapy and is responsible for the coordination of administrative tasks for the staff, physicians, and practitioners.

 

What will you do: 

• Performs patient greeting and check in
• Manages all incoming calls and provides exceptional customer service in person and over the phone with patient, staff and family members and triaging phone calls as appropriate
• Schedules appointments and procedures for exams and regularly communicating with office staff.  
• Prepares and maintains patient charts and obtains pre-certifications and authorizations for patients’ exams.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree and/or Medical Secretary/equivalent on-the-job experience
• Minimum of one-year experience in hospital, medical environment, or health related field preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology

Pay Range:  $18.70 -$28.05

 

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
