Description
The Enable Group are a vibrant, forward looking mid-sized business operating in several infrastructure construction market sectors. We are a growing business with strong values and a vision operating in a sector where demand is expected to outgrow supply and where the attraction and retention of good people must be our primary focus. We have strong desires around delivering a Social Value Impact through our recruitment strategies by aligning our business with strategic sourcing partners such as the military, welfare to work providers along with sustainable and environmentally friendly supply chain solutions.
We are committed to offering social value support to people from our local communities; you can take part in numerous events to positively impact our communities.
Enable are proud and committed to maintaining and building upon our diverse and inclusive culture, ensuring people from all walks of life can add value to our business allowing our employees to thrive.
Our plan to directly employ a proportion of our (blue collar) site operatives going forward, to provide more opportunity for a Social Value impact to be landed and allow the business to grow through self delivery by empowering our employees to take pride and respect in the work they do.
This role is an essential component of our Enable Resourcing Team. Before engaging with candidates and putting them to work, we need to capture their qualifications and competencies, together with expiry and re-certification into our management system. We need to ensure candidates have the required competencies and that they are valid. We also need to ensure that candidates are supplied with suitable Personal Protective Equipment and the issue of this equipment is controlled.
Part of this role would involve Sentinel co-ordination which is the person responsible for ensuring the Sentinel database is maintained for all Sentinel Card holders in the Enable Group businesses.
From time to time, re-certification and re-training needs will arise and part of this role will involve organising training events for individuals or groups, providing candidates with joining instructions, updating the database. Similarly, candidates being taken under Sentinel Sponsorship require a Medical and Drugs and Alcohol screening which would also be co-ordinated by the Resourcing Compliance Officer.
Although this role is predominantly designed to support the Enable Resourcing Team, there are some overlapping activities with the Enable Group HR function and from time to time, holiday/sickness cover may be required and vice-versa so this role will involve close collaboration with the HR function.
