Summary:

Prepare a variety of fresh, delicious hot and cold meals, including grab-and-go favorites and large-batch food items, while following daily menus and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities:

• Assists in the preparation of hot food items for all areas as indicated by menu cycles.
• Responsible for preliminary preparation of food items for the following day, as indicated by menu cycles.
• Ability to read and interpret production tickets.
• Assists with routine cleaning and sanitation of work areas.
• Assists with serving food items according to established workflows.
• Demonstrates competency in knife skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper temperature control.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: One to three years of experience in high-volume food preparation and cooking within a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering company, government facility, or private institution.
