A Day in the Life
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all logistics operations to ensure the efficient flow of materials, inventory, information, and finished goods from suppliers through manufacturing and ultimately to customers. This role ensures service excellence, inventory accuracy, cost control, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while developing a high-performing logistics team.The Logistics Supervisor partners closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Supply Management, Distribution, Transportation, Quality, Finance, and external logistics providers to achieve business objectives related to Safety, Quality, Service, Delivery, and Cost.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations Management
- Manage the flow of raw materials, components, finished goods, services, and information throughout the supply chain.
- Ensure effective execution of receiving, warehousing, inventory control, replenishment, transportation, and shipping activities.
- Guarantee material availability to support manufacturing requirements and customer commitments.
- Monitor transportation performance and ensure costs remain aligned with approved budgets and operational targets.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Inventory Management
- Ensure inventory accuracy through robust inventory control processes and cycle counting programs.
- Maintain the integrity of inventory transactions and master data within ERP systems.
- Analyze inventory trends and implement corrective actions to minimize discrepancies, obsolescence, and stock shortages.
- Provide accurate inventory reporting and financial information to support business decision-making.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of logistics employees to achieve operational and organizational objectives.
- Establish clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback.
- Conduct performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, talent development discussions, and succession planning activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, workforce flexibility, training, and cross-functional skill development.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on: Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and problem-solving methodologies to improve logistics performance.
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote effective utilization and continuous enhancement of logistics systems and digital tools.

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Language Requirements
- French and English: Professional/Proficient level (written and spoken).
IT & Systems Requirements
- SAP preferred
- Experience with reporting, data analytics, and warehouse management systems is an asset.

The final salary within this range will be determined based on objective, job-related criteria, including relevant experience, skills and qualifications, in accordance with our compensation framework.
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
