Summary of Position
The Leisure Travel Advisor consults with our dedicated client to plan, book, and manage leisure travel experiences. This role provides expert travel guidance, creates customized itineraries, coordinates travel arrangements, and delivers exceptional client service before, during, and after travel. The position works closely with travel suppliers and preferred partners to ensure seamless travel experiences while supporting client retention and business growth.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Consult with client to understand travel preferences, destinations, budgets, and travel requirements.
- Research, plan, and recommend customized vacation experiences, tour packages, cruises, independent travel arrangements, and related travel services.
- Arrange and manage travel reservations, including air, hotel, cruise, rail, ground transportation, tours, transfers, excursions, and other travel-related services.
- Provide clients with destination information, travel documentation requirements, entry regulations, travel advisories, and other relevant travel guidance.
- Prepare travel proposals, itineraries, and pricing options that align with client needs and expectations.
- Accurately calculate travel costs, process reservations, and collect client payments in accordance with company and supplier requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate client profiles and booking records within approved systems and tools.
- Assist clients with itinerary changes, schedule disruptions, cancellations, travel issues, and other service-related needs before, during, and after travel.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with preferred suppliers, travel partners, and industry contacts.
- Participate in supplier training, professional development opportunities, industry education programs, and company-sponsored learning initiatives.
- Meet established service, productivity, sales, and quality standards while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, supplier requirements, industry regulations, and applicable travel documentation standards.
- Support team and departmental initiatives and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Leadership Responsibilities
This job does not have direct reports but may perform supervisory responsibilities in mentoring new or less experienced Travel Advisors.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in leisure travel, customer service, hospitality, or a related industry preferred.
- Knowledge of travel industry systems and booking platforms preferred.
- Professional travel certifications (CTC, CTA, or equivalent) are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of leisure travel products, destinations, suppliers, and industry best practices.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to consult with clients and provide tailored travel recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple bookings and priorities simultaneously.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to travel disruptions and client concerns.
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy when processing reservations, documentation, and payments.
- Ability to learn and utilize travel industry technology, reservation systems, and CRM platforms.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Sales aptitude with the ability to identify client needs and recommend appropriate travel solutions.
