Responsibilities
The Business Development Coordinator organizes and is responsible for business development including monitoring, updating and ongoing analyzation/evaluation of the hospital business development efforts, volume growth, clinical program and service line development, community relations, post-acute strategy, senior outreach, and event planning to increase revenues and profits. In partnership with others, is responsible for creating and/or implementing tracking mechanisms to track increases in volume, growth, and revenue. The coordinator evaluates data to quantify specific efforts and how they have led to increases in volume, growth, revenue, etc. by program, service line and/or physician.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business (Development) or related field strongly preferred2. Minimum 3 years in related field (business development, sales and/or marketing) strongly preferred3. Minimum 2-years’ experience in healthcare setting strongly preferred; physician relations a plus4. Minimum 2-years’ field marketing/sales/business development experience strongly preferred 5. Independent decision making and strong communication skills required6. Program planning and/or project management experience and evaluation strongly preferred7. Critical thinking skills required. Must be autonomous and self-driven. Must be able to work well independently and with others.
