Job Description:

Make a lasting impact on students as they discover what’s possible for their future. The University of Northern Iowa’s Educational Talent Search program is seeking an Educational Counselor to support and inspire middle and high school students as they prepare for college and beyond. In this rewarding role, you’ll help students build the knowledge, confidence, and resources they need to graduate from high school and successfully pursue postsecondary education.


Summary: Identifies, recruits, selects, and provides services to eligible participants, including career counseling; provides information on post-secondary opportunities; helps participants complete post-secondary admissions applications and financial aid forms; and provides tutoring.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education or related field plus at least one year of experience in counseling, teaching, or related experience required. Occasional evening and weekend work will be necessary.
