Job Description

Position Summary

 

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending qualified candidates to meet organizational hiring needs. This role supports the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate engagement, interviewing, and offer coordination. The position contributes to the development and execution of recruitment strategies that attract high-quality talent aligned with company goals and culture. This role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple hiring priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

1. Functional Responsibilities

• Source candidates using job boards, social media, professional networks, and referral channels
• Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate phone screens
• Schedule and conduct interviews (phone, video, and in-person)

2. Operational / Departmental Support

• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and recruitment strategies
• Create and maintain accurate job descriptions and interview guides
• Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data integrity and recruiting records
• Track and report recruiting metrics and pipeline activity

3. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of candidate and hiring information
• Support consistent and fair hiring practices across all roles

4. Financial / Performance Accountability

• Monitor and report key recruiting metrics including time-to-fill and quality-of-hire
• Support workforce planning efforts by ensuring efficient pipeline management

5. Leadership / Collaboration

• Build and maintain relationships with colleges, professional organizations, and external recruiting partners
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to support talent acquisition initiatives
• Support employer branding efforts and recruitment marketing strategies
• Promote a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process

6. Additional Responsibilities

• Evaluate recruitment processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness
• Support HR initiatives and cross-functional projects as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

 

Performance Expectations & Key Metrics:

Performance will be evaluated based on measurable outcomes aligned with company and departmental goals. Metrics may include:

• Time to Fill
• New hire turnover rate
• Offer acceptance rate
• Additional project completion

 

Required Qualifications

 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required

Experience

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred) and proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter

• Ability to manage 10+ requisitions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret recruiting metrics
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and recruiting tools
• Knowledge of employment laws including EEO and other applicable regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume or corporate recruiting environments
• Experience with employer branding or recruitment marketing initiatives
• Experience supporting workforce planning or talent analytics
• Exposure to multi-state recruiting environments
