It is a hands-on, on-site role that combines payroll ownership with day-to-day accounting support for Finance and HR.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage full-cycle, bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations across different states.
- Review and validate timecards, attendance records, payroll adjustments and employee information.
- Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, off-cycle payments and deductions.
- Reconcile payroll reports, maintain accurate records and prepare payroll-related journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll laws, including wage and hour regulations.
- Process garnishments, tax levies, child support orders and benefit deductions.
- Coordinate payroll tax filings, W-2 processing and year-end reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate payroll data within payroll, HRIS and ERP systems.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
- Assist with month-end closing, financial reporting and the preparation and review of P&L statements.
- Support management with financial reviews, budgeting and financial analysis, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll experience.
- Experience independently managing full-cycle payroll.
- Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Proficiency with payroll software, HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel.
- High school diploma or GED.
