Description
Prepare material take-offs and cost estimates for construction projects as part of Flex's architecture and engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare material take-offs from planning documents and engineering drawings, and review those prepared by colleagues.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for the components of systems and subsystems.
- Collect, evaluate and document historical cost data to inform future estimates.
- Prepare and review the final engineer's estimate.
- Review contracts and amendments to establish the scope of work and assess fair cost allowances for changes.
Experience and skills
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Very good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Ability to read construction documentation.
- Very good written and spoken English.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
