Description
This is a Limited Appointment position with an end date of 7/30/2029

- Assist the Treasurer with scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, coordinating appointments, and preparing agendas or meeting materials
- Draft routine correspondence, prepare informational materials, and assist with internal and external communication tasks
- Assist with creating and organizing content for official Treasurer’s Office social media channels; ensure posts follow County guidelines and established messaging
- Prepare and enter data for review, including investment statements, Treasurer receipts, journal entries, and related documentation
- Serve as backup to the Treasury Banking Specialist for preparing and organizing warrants; verify basic information and route items for approval
- Assist with Positive Pay uploads as needed, following established procedures and under direction of the specialist
- Prepare invoices for payment and assist with routine payment processing tasks
- Maintain, organize, and archive financial and administrative records in accordance with County records retention schedules; ensure documents are properly stored, accessible, and prepared for review or audit
- Order supplies, maintain office inventory, and support general administrative functions of the Treasurer’s Office
Essential functions of this position include but not limited to: sitting, walking, standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, bending and crawling for filing; working with and around others; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion(hand/wrist/elbow/ shoulder) for computer work, filing, copying etc.; vision acuity (near) for computer work and reading documents; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; finger dexterity and touch for typing.High school diploma or GED and one year of clerical, customer service, communications, or administrative support experience; OR
any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a finance-related, government, or public-sector office environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic accounting or bookkeeping tasks
- Strong data-entry accuracy and experience preparing financial documents or reports
- Prior experience supporting executives or coordinating complex calendars and schedules
- Familiarity with Positive Pay processes or treasury/banking operations
- Experience drafting professional correspondence or assisting with public communication materials
- Knowledge of social media best practices for official or organizational accounts
- Comfortable working within established procedures and following internal controls
- Strong customer service background, especially in roles requiring communication with multiple departments or external agencies
- Proven ability to maintain organized records and manage retention requirements

This position is non-exempt from overtime.
