Job Overview

The Security Engineer / Senior Security Engineer will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) by securing cloud and on-premises environments, managing endpoint and email security, and supporting threat detection, incident response, and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security controls across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts using Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender.
• Manage endpoint and email security using Microsoft Defender and Intune.
• Develop automation playbooks for incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and support remediation activities.
• Apply IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust security principles.
• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate security tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in security operations, including cloud and endpoint security.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Intune.
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and vulnerability management.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of IAM, RBAC, and network security.
• KQL experience for Azure Sentinel is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Logic Apps for security automation is an advantage.
• Certifications such as AZ-500, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty are an advantage.
