Description

DTC Fulfillment Associate at Hyperlite Mountain Gear

At Hyperlite Mountain Gear, we design and build best-in-class technical backcountry gear for adventurers who rely on our products for success, safety, and survival and for those simply looking to have a better backpacking experience. For us, better backpacking starts with gear that strikes the optimal balance of weight, durability and water resistance.

We are looking for a DTC Fulfillment Associate to join our shipping and receiving team in Biddeford, Maine. You’ll play a critical role in getting our gear into the hands of customers who count on it — with the accuracy, care, and attention to detail that protect both the customer experience and the brand.

This position reports to the DTC Shipping and Receiving Manager and collaborates closely with the Wholesale Fulfillment team to coordinate inventory flow. As an online retail brand, our team ships approximately 2,000–3,000 orders per month with a small, focused crew — meaning every person on the floor has real ownership over throughput, quality, and the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping

  • Pick and pack DTC orders with a high standard of accuracy
  • Create shipping documents and labels using Shopify and ShipStation
  • Verify order contents and seal packages for shipment
  • Maintain throughput and accuracy during launches, holiday sales, and promotional periods

Truck Receiving

  • Unload pallets using a pallet jack
  • Unload inventory from pallets onto shelves
  • Inspect new product for quality and accuracy against shipping documents

Inventory

  • Record inventory movement within the warehouse
  • Restock shelves from back inventory
  • Participate in regular physical inventory counts
  • Verify and record incoming tracked inventory

General

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Operate pallet jacks (and/or forklifts) safely, following OSHA and company protocol

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Basic computer skills — comfort with shipping software, email, and general computer use is essential to the role
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving mindset
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for long periods
  • Pallet jack experience
  • Flexibility to occasionally work weekends during peak seasonal and promotional periods (this is a salaried role, and weekend hours are offset with equivalent weekday time off)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Shopify and/or ShipStation
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Forklift certification (helpful but not required)
  • Prior shipping, receiving, or fulfillment experience

What’s in it for you?

Besides working for the leader in ultralight outdoor gear, with huge revenue growth and a team of smart, motivated, and collaborative associates, you get:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Health & Dental Insurance
  • Deep discounts on all gear
  • Flexibility

We hope so!
