Description
We are looking for a SSHO with at least 5 years of experience delivering safe and quality projects for newly awarded JOC Contract at Fort Stewart, GA.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer to oversee on‑site field operations and ensure all project activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and federal requirements. This role works closely with subcontractor supervisors to maintain safety vigilance while supporting project goals related to schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Tasks
Following is a general list of tasks falling into the SSHO’s areas of responsibility:
- SSHO provides daily safety oversight.
- Reviews/enforces site Safety Plans;
- Enforces/implements Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHAs);
- Provides onsite safety training.
Education and Training Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management discipline preferred and minimum of 5-years' experience in Superintendent, SSHO, Quality Control, and/or construction management roles. Demonstrated record of project safety and success on work valued from $500K to $10M+.
• OSHA 30 certification
Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements:
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the operational regions.
• Must be physically fit to walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and meet other demands needed for inspections of projects and assessing areas of construction
• Must have proficiencies with industry standard software such as Procore, MSOffice, Excel, Word, MS Project & Outlook. RMS experience highly desired.
• Must be able to read and interpret complex project blueprints/plans and specifications; to include site/civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
