Metallurgist support for division

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment
• Cross-train on other metallurgist positions within the division
• Identify opportunites for improvement in products and processes
• Design and manage trials for product and process improvements
• Assist in the development of new rail and structural grades
• Perform failure investigations and write technical reports outlining findings
• Participate in ongoing education by attending technical conferences and training

Qualifications

Required

• B.S. in Metallurgical / Materials Engineering (or equivalent degree)
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, including presentation skills
• High attention to detail

Preferred

• Steel industry experience
• Ability to travel
