Personal Trainer – SH19 Wellness Facility
Full-time and Part-time positions are available.
About Us:
SH19 is an extension of The Stovall House, offering a racquet, social, and wellness-based recreational amenities to all active members. Offerings include 5 pickleball courts, 2 padel courts, 3 cold plunges, 2 saunas, 1 mineral soak, a fitness center, a snack bar, and a retail/pro shop.
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly personable Personal Trainer/Fitness Coach to join our wellness team. This position will provide a comprehensive coaching experience across group fitness classes, semi-private training, and one-on-one personal training.
The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness and wellness, highly knowledgeable in exercise programming and coaching, and committed to delivering an elevated member experience. This individual should be equally comfortable motivating a group, coaching a small training program, or developing a personalized plan for an individual client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-quality group fitness classes, semi-private training sessions, and private personal training sessions
- Develop and implement structured training programs focused on strength, conditioning, performance, mobility, and overall wellness
- Design and deliver safe, effective, and engaging workouts tailored to varying fitness levels, goals, and abilities
- Build meaningful relationships with members and provide a personalized, welcoming, and results-driven experience; recommend appropriate training options, programs, and services
- Track client progress and adjust programming as needed to support continued results
- Educate members on proper movement, exercise technique, recovery, and healthy lifestyle practices within the scope of practice
- Maintain a professional, clean, organized, and safe training environment
- Support member engagement, retention, and growth of private and semi-private training clientele
- Represent the club and its standards of service with professionalism, energy, and discretion at all times
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, programming development, and other initiatives that enhance the member experience
Qualifications:
- Current nationally recognized personal training certification from an accredited organization (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, NCSF, etc.)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Previous experience in personal training and group fitness instruction required
- Strong understanding of strength training, conditioning, functional movement, and exercise programming
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups of varying fitness levels
- Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping people achieve meaningful results
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field
- Additional certifications in strength & conditioning, corrective exercise, performance training, mobility, Pilates, yoga, guided recovery, or other specialty disciplines
- Experience working in a luxury fitness, wellness, hospitality, country club, or high-end service environment
- Experience developing and leading multi-week training programs
