Description
· The Junior Continuous Improvement Engineer / Analyst supports the execution of Engineering Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager.
· The role provides coordination, analysis, documentation and follow-up support for site-wide improvement activities across Manufacturing, Engineering, Utilities, Facilities, Automation, Reliability and Compliance functions.
· The role is designed as a structured development pathway for future Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance, Operations and Operational Excellence positions.

Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement Project Support
· Support the execution of Engineering Operational Excellence and continuous improvement projects across the site.
· Take ownership of lower and medium complexity improvement initiatives with guidance from the Continuous Improvement Manager.
· Support larger cross-functional initiatives by coordinating actions, documentation, meeting outputs and project follow-up activities.
KPI Reporting & Performance Analysis
· Collect, organize and analyze Engineering performance data to support data-driven decision making.
· Prepare KPI reports, dashboards, trend summaries and performance updates for Engineering improvement programs.
· Identify trends, gaps and opportunities through performance analysis, value stream mapping and project data review.
Project Coordination & Action Tracking
· Maintain project action logs, trackers, meeting minutes, risk/action registers and status updates.
· Follow up with action owners to ensure deliverables are completed on time and escalated when required.
· Support project governance by ensuring documentation, milestones, decisions and benefits are tracked consistently.
Problem Solving, RCA & Risk Assessment Support
· Support Root Cause Analysis activities, problem-solving workshops and follow-up of corrective actions.
· Assist with FMEA, risk assessments, value stream mapping and process improvement activities.
· Help convert analysis outputs into practical improvement actions, action plans and implementation tracking.
Cross-Functional Exposure & Development
· Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Utilities, Facilities, Automation, Reliability, Maintenance and Compliance stakeholders.
· Build practical experience in operational excellence, engineering systems, maintenance, reliability and regulated manufacturing processes.
· Contribute to the development pipeline for future roles such as Continuous Improvement Manager, Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineer, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Operational Excellence Lead.
GMP, Compliance & Safety
· Perform assigned activities in accordance with applicable GMP, Data Integrity, EHS and site procedures.
· Ensure project documentation, action tracking and analysis outputs are accurate, complete and inspection-ready where applicable.
· Escalate risks, delays, compliance concerns or safety issues promptly to the Continuous Improvement Manager or relevant stakeholders.
Specifics of the role:
· Provide dedicated support to the Continuous Improvement Manager in delivering Engineering Operational Excellence initiatives and strategic improvement programs.
· Support key initiatives such as Spare Parts Management, FMEA implementation, SAP PM deployment, reliability programs, Engineering governance improvements and continuous improvement project execution.
· Improve execution capacity by owning less complex initiatives and supporting larger projects through analysis, coordination, documentation and follow-up.
· Expected outcomes include faster implementation of low and medium complexity projects, improved tracking of actions and deliverables, better data-driven decision making, and reduced administrative burden on Engineering managers and SMEs.
Minimum education and experience required for the role:
· Currently studying toward, or recently completed, a degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
· Interest in continuous improvement, operational excellence, engineering, maintenance, reliability, manufacturing or regulated industry operations.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and interpret data, prepare reports and identify trends.
· Good planning, coordination and follow-up skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple actions or tasks.
· Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, Facilities, Utilities and Automation.
· Basic knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, FMEA, project management, KPI reporting, SAP PM or CMMS systems is an advantage but not essential. · Willingness to learn GMP, Data Integrity, EHS and Engineering governance requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
