Description
The LSSMU Mechanical Engineer will be highly involved with completing and leading daily tactical project execution tasks necessary for the successful completion of multiple short duration projects throughout the year. They will also be a key component of building a dynamic team by partnering closely with the customer and leveraging internal knowledge and industry experience to exceed expectations.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000.00 - $109,800.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in this Role:
- Manage and complete mechanical engineering scope for material handling systems
- Perform site audits to collect project and solution information
- Complete the design of semi-complex systems that integrate mechanical hardware, controls components, and software
- Provide support for specification and preparation of engineering sketches, manufacture equipment, and layout drawings, with appropriate follow-up
- Follow Purchase Request and Order Entry processes to purchase equipment and release assemblies for manufacturing
- Support on-site installation and engineering commissioning efforts as the need arises
- Work with team members and customers to tackle problems and troubleshoot equipment on-site
- Regularly report on project performance including but not limited to: timely delivery, budget, quality, risks
- Participate in recommending ideas related to efficiency improvement, cost reduction, and improvement in customer happiness
What We are Looking :
- BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field of engineering, or equivalent experience
- 0-5 years of industry-related experience or mechanical engineering experience preferred
- Proficient in CAD design software; AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar
- Experience with MS programs, Word, Excel, TEAMS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment

- Maintaining accurate and detailed records
- Grasping and adhering to instructions
- Working under pressure, meeting inflexible deadlines, and maintaining composure
- Capable of providing technical assistance to support staff and other employees

- Enjoy traveling? This role includes up to 25% travel to customer locations
