Wilson-McShane Corporation, a Third-Party Administrator for Taft-Hartley benefit funds, has an opening for a full-time IT Operations Specialist in our Bloomington, MN office.
The regular schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This is an exempt position with a compensation range of $60,000 to $63,000 year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor production systems, applications, integrations, and infrastructure to ensure reliable and timely operations.
- Execute scheduled operational processes and respond to system alerts, job failures, file transfer exceptions, and production incidents.
- Manage and troubleshoot secure file transfer processes using MFT platforms, SFTP, and related automation tools.
- Support production operations for enterprise systems, including monitoring, scheduled processing, backups, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Software developers, IT Operations, vendors, and business partners to implement, support, and enhance applications and integrations.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform initial analysis, and coordinate resolution with internal teams, vendors, and external support partners.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures, runbooks, and system inventories.
- Leverage automation and scripting to improve efficiency, reliability, and process standardization.
- Participate in disaster recovery, technology modernization initiatives, testing, and implementation of new solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:
- Experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration, Application Support, or Production Support.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Knowledge of secure file transfer technologies (SFTP, SSH) and related security concepts.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms, workload automation, or enterprise scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery testing, system implementations, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Knowledge of Unisys ClearPath MCP, MARC, CANDE, or similar enterprise platforms.
