What you’ll do - Ko tōu ake mahi
We're looking for an Executive Assistant to join our Performance & Governance group, providing high-quality support to three senior leaders. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the centre of a busy and influential team, helping leaders stay focused on delivering work that supports better health outcomes for New Zealanders.
You'll be a trusted partner who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, balancing competing priorities, building strong relationships, and ensuring key activities, meetings, and commitments stay on track.
- Provide proactive executive support to three senior leaders, managing diaries, communications, priorities, and day-to-day coordination.
- Coordinate meetings, events, travel, and key deliverables, ensuring actions, deadlines, and commitments remain on track.
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, correspondence, and briefing materials while building strong relationships across the Ministry and wider health sector.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing administrative processes, collaborating with leadership support teams, and helping deliver the group's work programme.
What you’ll bring - Ko ngā pūkenga ōu
- Experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or in a similar support role, ideally with an understanding of the machinery of government and public sector environments.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, think ahead, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships and work with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, using initiative, sound judgement, and advanced Microsoft Office skills to support senior leaders while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.
