Service Engineer
Wolverhampton – Nationwide travel
£43,000 – £45,000 DOE
Company van fuel card
Please Note – there is no overtime, some days if you finish earlier you will still be paid for full hours, for example if you finish at 2pm. There is requirement from time to time to work slightly over to finish the job.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated service engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. The Service Engineer will work closely with both internal teams and customers to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems. The majority of the role will involve working with plant room equipment, pipework and pumps.
Responsibilities for the service engineer;
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various plant room equipment and dosing systems.
- Installing filtration systems and commissioning.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, including repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery
- Complete plumbing works, including dead leg removal, re-arranging tank inlets, replacing ball cocks, replacement and pipe work insulation
- Work on filtration overhaul projects.
- Ensure all project handover paperwork is completed in communication with the administration department.
Experience required for the service engineer:
- 3 years working as a service engineer or maintenance engineer
- experience with pipework or pumps will be advantageos
- Mechanically biased with electrical skills would be ideal
- someone with a proactive attitude who is willing to get stuck in
